My name is Xinrui, and I study Film and Television Studies.
Since high school, I have taken part in student societies and class committees, which has given me experience in communicating with students, listening to different views, and helping to solve problems.
If elected as School Representative, I will work to make sure students’ voices, rights and interests are properly heard and represented. I hope every student can feel welcomed and supported. My PhD experience has strengthened my communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I will work closely with other student representatives and staff to improve communication across the School, encourage stronger connections between students, and create more opportunities for collaboration.
I also hope to support students with practical concerns where possible, help students find useful opportunities, and contribute to building a more connected, supportive and inclusive community.
