  • Academic Appeals You can appeal against various decisions that affect your study if you believe you have grounds for appeal.
  • Bullying & Harassment Being bullied or harassed is bad for your health and your studies, and the SRC and the University take it seriously.
  • Essay Writing Services There are now over 100 essay writing companies in action around the globe. They may have names like ‘professional essay writing service’, or ‘trusted custom essays’.
  • Exams Worried about preparing for your exams? What items are not allowed in exams? What if you are ill? Here are a few pointers.
  • Fitness to Practise If you are involved in a procedure relating to either Fitness to Practise or Professional Practice Advisory Panel, the SRC can give help and advice.
  • Good Cause If you’ve been ill, or had other personal circumstances affecting your performance in an exam or assignment, then you may need Good Cause.
  • Grades & Feedback Unhappy with a grade you’ve been given? Unhelpful feedback? Here are some ideas for what you can do.
  • Group Work Tips for getting the most out of group work on your course.
  • Guide to Effective Complaining Are you unhappy with some aspect of your course? Has the University failed to follow its procedures? Or has a staff member or student behaved inappropriately?
  • Jury Service If you have received a summons for jury service, but are struggling to spare the time because of coursework, you may be able to be excused.
  • Late Submission of Coursework If life has conspired against you to prevent you from meeting an essay deadline don’t despair.
  • Plagiarism Plagiarism is something the University considers a very serious breach of discipline. It's important that you know what it is and what might happen if you are accused of it.
  • Progress After the Re-sits If you’ve just received your re-sit results and haven’t done as well as you’d hoped don’t lose all faith just yet!
  • Student Conduct Procedures Read this page if you have allegedly breached the University regulations in some way and student conduct procedures against you have begun.
  • Student Support Policies Expecting a baby or have caring responsibilities, and wondering how you will manage your studies as well?
