Welfare Team
The Welfare Team is a team of Welcome Helpers dedicated to ensuring that Welcome Week is inclusive and accessible for all demographics of students.
The Team's particular focus is to engage with 'non-traditional' students (for example, mature students, students with disabilities, home students, student parents and carers, etc.) to make sure that they have everything they need to take full advantage of the opportunities that Welcome Week presents. Helpers on this team will take part in a range of activities, in particular welfare events.
This team is vital for ensuring that all students are able to equally enjoy Welcome Week and take advantage of the great benefits for new students. If you are a person who likes meeting new people and you are keen to share your knowledge of support services and Welcome Week activities, then this is the team for you! This team is one of the 10+ Welcome Helper teams that we have, they are not detached from the rest of the Welcome Helpers but simply have a more dedicated and specific schedule. If you would like to be considered for this team, please select 'Yes' when prompted in the application form below and answer the questions that follow. If not select 'No' to skip this section.
Team Leaders and Deputies

Deputy Leaders are also required to fill in for Team Leaders if for whatever reason they are absent or are otherwise engaged in other activities as instructed by the Vice President Student Activities.
