Student Networks

Our Student Network groups are here to keep you connected at UofG.

We have created five Student Networks to enable you to meet other students, share advice or organise meet-ups. We’ll also use the Networks to let you know about relevant events or campaigns that you might want to get involved in. The SRC Student Networks are open to all University of Glasgow students whether full-time, part-time or distance learners.

All of the Facebook Groups are “closed” which means no one can see that you are a member of the group unless they are also a member.

Below is more information about the networks and the student representatives on Council you can contact for support. More reps will be added after our Autumn Elections.

The Networks

Home Students’ Network: for students who live “at home” and commute to University including mature students living in their own homes.

Postgraduate Students’ Network: for students enrolled in a postgraduate degree, whether taught or research.

Disabled Students’ Network: for students who define themselves as having a disability or who have a chronic/long-term physical or mental illness.

Student Carers’ Network: for students who provide emotional or practical support to a relative, friend, or someone else who is unable to manage alone.

Student Parents’ Network: for students who have children of any age.

The SRC have also created a leaflet for Student Parents with resources available as well as an Information Document with expanded details on resources available.
