Club training

The SRC has the following trainings, roundtables and workshops available for affiliated clubs and societies:

  • SRC Society 101 Training
    A training designed to put your society in the best place for a smarter, stronger and more successful year. A minimum of two office bearers from your club are required to attend.
     
  • My Clubs Portal Training
    A training for clubs and societies who want to use their SRC website portal to manage their club. 
     
  • *NEW* Clubs & Societies Roundtables
    Monthly, drop-in roundtables that are designed for clubs and societies to connect directly with the SRC Clubs Team, share experiences and challenges with peers, and explore ways to collaborate and make the most of SRC support and resources
     
  • Club Events & Comms Workshops
    Our Club Events & Comms Workshops are for clubs and societies to get practical tips, share challenges, and learn how to improve your events and social media best practices, as well as apply for SRC grant funding. Free food will be provided by the SRC. Workshops to run in September, October and January during the academic year.
     
  • Wellbeing Workshops, delivered by our team of student mental health trainers:
    • Wellbeing Skills for Student Leaders
      This 2-hour interactive workshop equips student leaders with the skills, confidence, and strategies to support peers facing mental health challenges while maintaining healthy boundaries and prioritising their own wellbeing 
    • Let's Talk Consent and Bystander Intervention
      A 2-hour peer-led workshop, covering: sexual consent, reflecting on societal messages about sex and how this might impact our understanding of consent, what consent is, and discussion around how to have clear communication around consent (both verbally & non-verbally).
    • Mind Your Mate
      A 3-hour training programme covering basic mental health awareness and suicide prevention skills.
    • Mind Yourself
      A 3-hour training programme which aims to build emotional resilience in participants as a defence against common mental health issues such as depression.
