GUWCS Good Dance Etiquette

1) Try to invite as many people as you can for a dance. 2) But, respect others’ right to decline a dance for any reason. 3) Avoid teaching or giving unsolicited feedback on the social dance floor, except for safety. 4) Be aware of the space around you: don’t crash yourself or your partner into anyone. 5) Pay attention to your partner's verbal and non-verbal cues and respect their skill level, comfort and any limitations. 6) Respect people’s boundaries, preferences & personal space. 7) Dance in whichever role you prefer (leader or follower) & respect others’ ability to do the same. 8) Be aware of your personal hygiene and clothing. 9) Be civil and polite. 10) Remember to smile and enjoy your dance!
