At Glasgow University Education for Choice, we plan to run sexual health workshops in secondary schools in Glasgow.
Trained student volunteers, supported by clinicians, will deliver evidence-based workshops on contraception, pregnancy decision-making and abortion to school students, which comply with best practice and support key public health objectives. This will be a non-judgemental and inclusive teaching session for students, aiming to create a safe space to talk about often stigmatised topics. Education for Choice is an opportunity for students passionate about teaching, sex education and choice to get involved in empowering the next generation with more information surrounding their reproductive rights. We also hope to get involved in wider reproductive justice activism, including attending any local rallies and protests, along with talks and panels on contraception and abortion and host socials, covid allowing. We would love for you to join our volunteering group and help spread the important message of choice!
