Join GUWCS for an evening of West Coast Swing classes and social dancing!
No experience is required to join Beginner classes (we'll explain everything from scratch), and you don't need to bring a partner because we rotate every few minutes. Your first Beginner class is free, so drop in any week to give it a go (even later on in term).
- 7pm: Improver practice – with music to social dance, practice, chat, etc
- 7:30pm: IMPROVER CLASS – must know whip, starter step, sugar push, sugar tuck, and left + right side pass, and fundamentals of frame (2-3 months experience). Contact committee/teacher if unsure!
- 8:30pm: BEGINNER CLASS – open to everyone
- 9:30-10pm: Social dancing
Price: You can pay on the door, but ideally please buy a ticket online (above) to save time in class. Remember to get your membership to access the discounted price!
- Prepaid members: FREE with proof of membership
- PAYG members: £3 with online ticket or proof of membership
- Non-members: £5
You must read the GUWCS Dance Code of Conduct before the event. By attending, you agree to adhere to this.
Committee members may take photos/videos for publicity purposes. Inform them in person if you don't want to be featured.
