Jazz Society: Live Music in The Hunterian: 7pm - 9pm; The Hunterian Museum, Main Building; Unwind with the Glasgow University Jazz Society and SRC for an evening of live jazz at the Hunterian, where Glasgow’s fascinating history meets the sounds of the night.

Wed 16th September

The Kilted Quiz! With Shaun, the Kilted Quizmaster: 6pm - 8pm; Gilchrist Postgraduate Club; Join UofG alum Shaun Cairns – kilted, bearded, and ready with questions – for a quiz night full of Scottish flavour, dry humour, and the chance to win some suitably quirky prizes.

GUSA Fight Night: 8pm - 11pm; Glasgow University Union, Debates Chamber and Dining Room; GUSA Fight Night is an exciting event where student athletes step into the ring to showcase their fighting skills in front of roaring crowds. Come join us for unforgettable entertainment on the best night of Freshers’ / Welcome Week!

Thu 17th September

Jet Lag Society - Freshers Week Hide & Seek: Thursday Morning: 11am - 3pm; Outside the Wolfson Medical School; Join the GU Jet Lag Society in our first game of the year. Our game of Hide & Seek across the West End of Glasgow is a great way to explore the University campus and the surrounding area, while meeting new people. The event is free and open to all!

Chill & Paint: 3:30pm - 5:30pm; Williams Room, McIntyre Building; Unwind, meet new people, and create your own artwork to take home!

PASS: Performing Arts Society Showcase: 5pm - 7pm; Bute Hall, Main Building; A showcase demonstrating the multitude of performing arts societies across the Uni of Glasgow. Co-hosted by STAG (the biggest & oldest theatre society) and SRC, we aim to provide incoming students with the array of performing opportunities on campus.

Fri 18th September

Headphone Disco: 5pm - 8pm; Main Building: Cloisters; Dance the night away in the iconic Cloisters as three DJs battle for your attention – you choose the channel, you choose the vibe.

Tue 22nd September

Jazz Society - Jazz at The QMU: 7pm - 11pm; Jim’s Bar, QMU; Come along to GU Jazz Society’s premier jam session of the year! Come for the jazz, stay for the great atmosphere - arrive at 7pm to see the Student Led house band, followed by an open jam session for all abilities!
