Overview

Start your uni journey with a wee 3km route and new friends!

Join Run Girls and the Students’ Representative Council for a relaxed 3km run or walk designed to help you meet new people. Whether you’re a regular runner, a complete beginner or fancy walking the whole thing, come along and do it at your own pace.

We’ll meet at the entrance to Kelvingrove Park before heading off on a gentle, mostly flat 3-kilometre route through the park and along the River Clyde, finishing at the Main Building. No pressure, no racing — just a chance to move, chat and enjoy the morning together.

After the 3km, stick around for a post-run social with tea, coffee and breakfast snacks in the McIntyre Building. It’s the perfect chance to meet other students. Gluten-free and vegan options will be available.

Attending on your own? No problem. Members of Run Girls will meet you and lead. Our friendly SRC Welcome Helpers in blue t-shirts will be there to greet you at the McIntyre Building for the post-run social, help you settle in and make it easier to meet other students.
