Starting university (or returning after some time away) can feel exciting, but also a little isolating, especially when most faces around campus seem fresh out of school. This event is designed to help mature students find their crowd right from the start.
- Our Connection Tables will make breaking the ice easy: choose a table that matches your interests such as Travel, Career Change, Family Life, Hobbies, or Study Goals, and chat with others who share your experiences. Every 10–15 minutes, you’ll rotate to a new table, meeting a variety of people and building your campus network.
- Grab a drink from our Coffee & Tea Bar complete with non-dairy milk options and enjoy bite-sized treats while you mingle. Vegan and gluten-free options will be available.
- Meet members from the Mature Students Association and hear about how to join their society and stay in touch about upcoming events!
- Open to any University of Glasgow student over the age of 21 at registration.
Attending on your own? No problem. Our friendly SRC Welcome Helpers in blue t-shirts will be there to greet you, help you settle in and make it easier to meet other students.

- This event is not ticketed. If we reach capacity, a “one in, one out” system will be in place.
