The association for all students aged 21 or over at the start of their programme — undergraduate, postgraduate, access course or short course.
We support students aged 21 or over when they start their programme, and are the only student-run association with its own building, located in the heart of the University campus at 62 Oakfield Avenue. We have a members-only quiet study space, a computer room with PCs on the University network, fast Wi-Fi throughout the building, a printer, lockers and a lounge. Our building also has kitchen facilities for heating and preparing meals, and a community food pantry offering free food to members who need it. Free tea/coffee is included with membership. The building can be accessed 24/7 by our members and is a great place to study in peace, especially around deadlines and exams. Our team also includes a dedicated Welfare Officer, who is happy to chat, point you towards the right support, or simply listen when things get overwhelming. We also hold social events throughout the year, making it easy for mature students to make friends and find study groups. We host coffee mornings, film nights, pub quizzes, cultural celebrations, day trips and an annual ceilidh. We have members across all age groups, from 21 to over 65.Membership currently costs £15, and lasts until the end of the academic year (31 August). We look forward to welcoming you! Please allow five working days for your membership to be processed. Your ID will be activated to enable access to the building, and you will be added to our dedicated Moodle page, where you'll find news, events, and helpful information. When our page appears in your Moodle Homepage, you are a member.
