Hamish Allan

My name is Hamish and I am a 3rd Year Computing Science Student. I plan to use the experience I gained from being a class representative last year to engage with and represent the views of the student body, to continue to improve the School of Computing Science [SoCS] student experience. I am also eager to work with students and class representatives from all levels if elected to this position.

I will aim to

  • Work with the school to continue to improve the new exam formats, taking into account feedback and experiences from students of different backgrounds and needs.
  • Work with the school to continue to push for more in-person learning at all levels, while keeping online resources available.
  • Work with the different societies and clubs around SoCS/STEM.
  • Adapt to anything brought to me by students or other representatives.

Vote Hamish for a School Rep you can trust to work for you!

Bhavisha Jatin Dholakia

I am excited to stand for the position of a council member in the SRC to represent and advocate for students’ voices. My experience as an undergraduate student representative has equipped me with strong communication and problem-solving skills, enabling me to address student concerns effectively.

Throughout my academic journey, I have been actively involved in leadership roles, including founding a Literary Club, working with technical clubs, and collaborating with NGOs. My work with NGOs has given me a deep understanding of community needs, including mental health, education, and social justice, which I aim to further in the SRC.

Additionally, my technical expertise from research in cybersecurity and internships in technology companies has sharpened my ability to tackle complex challenges. I believe my unique blend of technical, leadership, and advocacy skills will allow me to contribute meaningfully to improving the student experience at Glasgow University.

I am committed to fostering a positive academic environment where students can thrive. By promoting transparency, advocating for student welfare, and engaging with the student body, I will ensure that every voice is heard. I would be honored to represent you and work toward creating lasting change.

Prajwal Pawan Save

Hi everyone! My name is Prajwal Save, and I’m a new Master’s student in Computing Science, having just joined the University of Glasgow this September. Being new, I know how overwhelming it can be to adjust to a new environment and navigate university life. That’s why I’m running for School Representative—to make sure our voices are heard and to create a welcoming, supportive space for all of us.

I want to build a community where every Computing Science student feels connected, supported, and empowered to reach their goals. I’ll work to improve communication, enhance academic support, and make sure everyone has the resources they need to succeed.

Clear Communication: I’ll push for a streamlined platform where students can easily access updates and resources.

Academic Support: Organize study groups, peer mentoring, and workshops to make learning more collaborative and fun.

Career Connections: Host guest lectures, hackathons, and networking events to connect students with industry professionals.

Inclusive Community: Promote diverse social events and ensure students can access mental health and well-being support.

As a new student, I’m committed to understanding your concerns and making our time here more enjoyable and successful. Vote for me, and let’s build a thriving community together!
