Chloe Chigumba

Hi, I’m Chloe Chigumba, a third year Geology student running for School of Geographic and Earth Sciences Representative on the SRC. I have been in this role for the past year, and spent my time observing, listening, learning and adapting. If I am re-elected, I will make it my mission to apply this newfound knowledge to work the system in favour of GES students. Last year, I promised to be your ROCC, and centre;
- R- Representation: Amplify student voices at SSLCs, academic forum and council meetings and ensure their needs are met and concerns assuaged
- O- Outreach: Improve the feedback loop between reps, course conveners and students by introducing a ‘you asked, we did,’ system at each level of this communication chain.
- C- Cohesion: Improve social cohesion through events by students, for students across degree programmes and levels to get to know each other, share academic tips, knowledge, setbacks and beyond.
- C- Careers: Advocate for more guidance on career progression, diversification of companies at career fairs, more career talks and meetings with industry professionals at lower degree levels.
This year, allow me to make good on my promise, and improve overall student satisfaction in our school.
