Acappella Society

Glasgow University A Cappella (GUAC) consists of two groups; our big, non-competitive group, GUAC, and our small competitive group, Kelvingroove!

Our big group, GUAC, is a super friendly, non-audition choir that performs at all GUAC events - such as annual Christmas and summer concerts where we show off what songs we’ve been working on throughout the year. GUAC has also had the opportunity to perform at the non-competitive Scottish A Cappella showcase in Edinburgh, charity fundraising events, as well as interval acts for other societies' performances!

Secondly, we have a smaller competitive group named Kelvingroove, a subsection of our big group that performs at the annual Scottish A Cappella Championships and the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella. This group involves an audition and two rehearsals each week and is a great opportunity to compete against other groups (whilst still having fun!)

There is a place for everyone at GUAC, whether you’ve been singing your whole life or just want to try something new. We’d love to welcome you!
