UGRacing is the University of Glasgow’s Formula Student team.
We are an entirely student run team from a wide range of degree disciplines who work together to produce championship winning, single seat Formula style cars each year.
Founded in 2005, UGRacing is made up of a team of highly motivated and talented students studying degrees ranging from engineering to law. The highlight of each year is traveling down south and seeing the teams hard work come to life at Silverstone racetrack. In 2022, UGRacing finished first place overall and won Formula Student UK, becoming only the third team from the UK to do so and the most successful team in Scottish history.
Being a part of UGRacing gives students practical experience not possible from classroom learning alone. Alumni have gone on to work for many prestigious engineering companies including Mercedes AMG F1, Jaguar Land Rover, Williams F1 and Alpha Tauri.
