Successful Women at Glasgow (SWAG): A platform to showcase the personal and professional successes of women.
Successful Women at Glasgow (SWAG) is an intersectional feminist society which aims to celebrate, inspire, and facilitate the personal and professional successes of women across the UofG campus.
SWAG hosts speaker events with women in a diverse range of fields, spotlighting the feminist causes that matter most to our members. We acknowledge that these events often feel daunting and, accordingly, we are committed to making the spaces that we create accessible for all individuals. Our speaker events will always be free and held in accessible venues. Past speakers include Nicola Sturgeon, Selina Hales (founder of Refuweegee) and, most recently, Glasgow's Green MSP, Holly Bruce.
We also raise money for our partnered charities and initiatives through socials and feminist workshops, such as self-defence classes.
SWAG welcomes all self-identifying women and gender non-conforming individuals to our community. We are proud members of FemCollab, who continually supports women of all identities across campus.
