We unapologetically subscribe to the theory and practice of world proletarian revolution: Marxism. Our basic principle is that the working class can and will transform the world, and that it must learn to do so through class struggle.
The Marxist society seeks to involve students and young workers in the struggle to change society, educate ourselves in Marxist theories and methods, and build a communist revolutionary vanguard capable of leading the overthrow of the rotten capitalist system.

MarxSoc is the most active political society on campus, with weekly meetings throughout the term, focussed on ideas and action. We are affiliated to the Marxist Student Federation.
