The African Caribbean Medical Society aims to support, encourage and uplift MedSci and healthcare students of African and Caribbean cultural backgrounds.
Creating a space for community, networking and conversations about how culture influences healthcare.
We aim to bring awareness to issues such as sickle cell disease and black maternal health. Helping all healthcare students and the wider student body to have a better and well-rounded understanding of issues they may face when working in the future.
We believe that representation matters and uplifting each other, will inspire future generations of students and most importantly this representation will allow better healthcare for all.
Overall we aim to build a society that allows for a great community that will extend into the world of work.
