Third Culture Kids Society (UofG TCK)

The Third Culture Kids Society is a welcoming community for students who have grown up between cultures, countries, and identities. Whether you were raised in a country different from your parents' homeland, moved internationally throughout your childhood, come from a multicultural family, or simply feel that you belong to more than one culture, our society provides a space where those experiences are understood and celebrated.

Our aim is to create a sense of belonging for students who may not feel fully represented by a single cultural, national, or ethnic identity. Through meaningful conversations, social events, cultural exchange, and shared experiences, we encourage members to explore themes of identity, home, language, migration, and community in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The society will host a variety of activities throughout the year, including discussion evenings, cultural showcases, networking opportunities, guest speakers, social gatherings, and collaborative events with other student societies. We hope to foster connections between students from diverse backgrounds while promoting understanding, empathy, and global perspectives across the wider university community.

At its heart, the Third Culture Kids Society is about celebrating the unique experiences that come from living between cultures and creating a home away from home for students who understand what it means to belong to more than one world.
