This is the society for everyone interested in participating or creating an iGEM team.
iGEM stands for International Genetically Engineered Machine, and it is an annual competition where University and Highschool students compete with projects involving synthetic biology. Many teams choose to tackle local and global problems in categories such as therapeutics, diagnostics and agriculture, to name a few. This year's team is working on developing a diagnostic method for Alzheimer's disease.
More information about iGEM can be found on the official web page https://competition.igem.org/.
