This is the society for anyone interested in participating or creating an iGEM team.
iGEM stands for International Genetically Engineered Machine, and it is an annual competition where university and highschool students develop projects using synthetic biology. Teams choose their projects based on tackling local and global problems, which can fall under various categories, a few of which are diagnostics, therapeutics and agriculture. This year's team is working on developing a diagnostic method for Alzheimer's disease.
More information about iGEM can be found on the official web page -> https://competition.igem.org/.
