About

Glasgow University’s Raising and Giving Society (RAG) is a student-led group with the aim to raise money and awareness for different charities throughout the academic year.

The great thing about RAG is that we are able to support a diverse range of causes throughout the year. We do this by organising various events encouraging monetary and material donations. In the past, we have run mystery book sales, second-hand clothing sales, bake sales, glitter stalls among others to raise money for charity. We have also organised collections for food banks and bra drives.

Another key aspect of RAG is collaboration. Throughout the year, we aim to collaborate with as many clubs and societies as possible encouraging and supporting their fundraising endeavours.

RAG is best known for its annual “RAG week” which takes place in the second semester – a week dedicated to fundraising. Throughout the week we try and host as many fundraising events as possible as well as encouraging other student clubs and societies to get involved!

For more information about RAG or how to get involved, feel free to contact rag@src.g.la.ac.uk or click here for more information.

We are always looking for more charities to collaborate with and support. If you are a charity interested in working with us please fill out our application form.
