About

Glasgow University Trad Society is open to anyone with any instrument who is interested in playing traditional music from all over the world.

We encourage instrumentalists of all abilities to come along to our weekly practices and to our session at DRAM and Kitty O' Shea's, where we continue playing in a more relaxed environment.

We will also host a variety of social events throughout the academic year – some with a Trad focus, others just for fun! We organise a ceilidh band to play at gigs throughout the year as well as organising club trips, such as to the Orkney Folk Festival.

No auditions are required - whether you have never played traditional music before or have your own band, the group is a friendly place for any musician! Hope to see you there!
