Ben Lui and Beinn a’chleibh

Join us for our next hike up two stunning Munros in the southern highlands near Tyndrum; Ben Lui and Beinn a'Chleibh.

This is a relatively challenging hike with a river crossing at the beginning and potentially boggy sections. Waterproof shoes and potentially a change of shoes and socks for the end of the walk are recommended. These can be left on the coach during the walk. Walking boots, some hiking experience, and a relatively good level of fitness are all required. As well as plenty of snacks, liquids, and waterproofs/warm layers for the Scottish weather.

This route is 10km/6.25miles long with 1057 metres of elevation gain. It has a variety of terrain, stunning views but can be steep in sections. Please familiarise yourself with the route beforehand and decide whether this is a hike for you.

We will be getting a coach from the Botanic Gardens at 7am to the Glen Lochry car park and aim to be back in Glasgow at 8pm at the latest but may be earlier. To attend this event, you MUST purchase a ticket beforehand. They will cost £17 and be available from the SRC website from 6pm on Wednesday 30^th September. There will be 40 tickets available, and membership is required for this event.
