Cobbler Hike

Join us for our first hill walk of the semester to the beautiful Arrochar Alps on the west side of Loch Lomond on Sunday 20^th September!!

This event highlights some of the more challenging hikes our society has to offer. Walking boots, some hiking experience, and a relatively good level of fitness are required. As well as plenty of snacks, liquids, and waterproofs/warm layers for the Scottish weather.

Please familiarise yourself with the route beforehand and decide whether this hike is for you.

The route is 11km/6.5miles with 920m of ascent. There are steep sections and some mild scrambling but quite straight forward and easily doable if you have experience with hiking and a good level of fitness.

We will be meeting at Buchannan Bus Station at 9am for the 9:10 bus to Arrochar, getting there at 10:22. We aim to catch the 17:23 bus back, getting into Buchannan Street for 18:35. It is also possible to get the bus from Kersland Street on Great Western Road at 9:21.

*Bus travel is free for under 22 with a bus pass, but it is still advised to reserve a ticket as services may be busy*

Walking Society membership is not required to attend this event.
