Play the official Jet Lag: The Home Game Hide & Seek across all train and subway stations in Greater Glasgow. We will use the £7.70 Glasgow Roundabout Ticket and teams will set off from the Duke of Wellington Statue at 10:00, to a station somewhere in Greater Glasgow. The seeking teams must then find their opponents as quickly as possible, using strategic questions and dodging curses.
This game is open to anyone. No experience is required, the Jet Lag Society is welcome to all! A £1 Game Fee will be required from non Frequent Flyer Members. This is sold through the ticket that can be purchased above. Frequent Flyer Membership can be purchased from our SRC page.
Please understand this game is an all day affair, may require a lot of walking (and sometimes running), as well as sitting about outside for prolonged periods. While all are welcome to play, and we will try to accommodate all accessibility and capability needs, these need to be communicated clearly to us so we that we can prepare.

Tickets
This event is open to both members and non-members of the society. You do not need to be a student of the University to join.
- If you have Frequent Flyer Membership: this game is free. You will still need to book your free ticket above.
- If you are a standard Full/Associate Member or non-member: You will need to pay the £1 Game Fee. This can be purchased as part of booking your ticket above.
Refunds will be provided up until 48 hours before the game.
You must be logged into the SRC to book your place. Non-university students must create an account. Frequent Flyer Membership is open to anyone for £5 per academic year and can be purchased on our society page.
How do you play the game?
A full rules document will be provided before the game. But in brief, the game works with two teams. One team will have a head start to reach a station to hide at. Once released, the other teams (the seekers) can ask certain questions to narrow down the first team's hiding spot such as "Are you within 1km of us", "Is your nearest Library the same as ours?" or "Send a photo of the tallest building on your street".
Each time a question is asked, the hiding team can draw a card. The cards include time bonuses (e.g +5 minutes), action cards (e.g duplicate a card), and curse cards. Each curse card has a challenge for the seeking team complete (E.g the seekers can only turn right at any junction). Using these cards, the hiders can strategically slow down the seekers and increase their hiding time.
Eventually the hiders will be found, at which point the teams swap roles and play again. The team with the longest hiding time wins.
Logistics
The game will begin at 10:00 with a cutoff at 19:00. There will be a pub social after the game to debrief with your opponents and people from other games (N.b the pub social is also open to those not playing in the game and no ticket is required). Details on the pub social will be posted on our social media closer to the time.
Players will be required to pay for their own transportation. For this game we recommend the Glasgow Roundabout Ticket (£7.70). Players will also need to manage their own food and drink throughout the day.

Please detail your needs or concerns (no matter how small), so that we can make adjustments to your game or atleast be aware of anything in case of emergency. Hide & Seek entails a lot of standing around or walking for extended periods of time. The game is out in the environment, therefore we are unable to guarantee access to seating, toilets etc. Nonetheless adjustments can be made to games to make it easier for you such as mandated game breaks or enforcing a no-running rule.

What is Jet Lag: The Game? Jet Lag: The Game is an online TV show that plays this style of game on a country (or even larger) scale! Think Hide & Seek across the UK, or Tag across Europe. If you've never heard of or watched the show, do not worry! The Jet Lag Society is open to everyone who wants to play our games.
Do I need to be a student of the University of Glasgow? These games are open to anybody. We particularly encourage students of other universities in the city or recent graduates to join us.
Can I bring friends? Of course! You can choose to be in the same team, or opposing. Just indicate who you would like to be in a team with when booking your ticket. Please note that large groups may have to be split over multiple teams or games.
What should I bring? We strongly recommend you bring a bottle of water and some snack. Please also pack for Scottish weather. It may be lovely September weather, but we cannot guarantee that. Finally a battery pack is also recommended, although not a necessity.
Do I need to be there for the whole event? Ideally yes, but leaving early can be accommodated. If you need to, please make us aware as soon as possible, preferably a few days before the game, so that we can best arrange teams.
How will teams communicate? All game communication happens through our Discord. If you have not already joined, you will be contacted to do so. You will have chats to communicate with your teammates, your opponents. This will also be how you communicate with our Game Helpdesk who ensures safety/wellbeing and provides guidance/verification on the rules of the game.
