Overview

Give dancing a try with the West Coast Swing Dance Society! West Coast Swing is a versatile partner dance you can do to any music you can think of: think Tame Impala, Michael Jackson, Sabrina Carpenter, Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Taylor Swift and more (check out our Spotify). You might already have seen this video of pros dancing to Meghan Trainor's 'Me Too' – this is West Coast Swing!

At our taster session you'll get to learn the basics of West Coast Swing dancing, meet current members, and see a demo of what you can learn over the year.

No previous experience or partner is required (or expected) – like all our beginner classes, this taster class is designed for complete beginners, and you'll be dancing by the end, even if you think you have two left feet! We rotate partners frequently throughout the class, so you'll get to meet lots of new people. Feel free to just drop in and watch as well to see how things run.

Date: Tuesday 15th September
Time: Class 6pm to 7pm, followed by a demo and time to meet current members
Location: St Andrews Building Gymnasium
