Overview

The way you feel is the way you breathe, and the way you breathe is the way you feel! Today we will be teaching techniques where you can combine your awareness with certain specific patterns of breathing to create a cocktail of peace and bliss.We will also be going through the fundamentals that can allow you to experience the breath and meditation in more profundity.

 

Whether you are seeking moments of peace from the fast-paced nature of university life, a deeper understanding of yourself, or a more profound experience of life, there is something for everyone here at the meditation society! 

We hold weekly meditation sessions on Thursdays at 18:00-19:15. Here are the guidelines for the weekly meditation sessions:

  • Free of price!
  • Doors open at 18:00, it is mandatory that you are seated for prompt start at 18:15. Those who are later than 18:15 will not be able to attend the session!
  • Bring a cushion/mat to sit on for comfort (optional)
  • Chairs are avaliable for those unable to sit on the floor.
  • Advisable to attend on a light stomach (2.5 hours after a large meal or 1 hour after a lighter meal)
  • The sessions follow the rough schedule of:
    • 20-30 minutes of an interactive talk about an aspect of meditation following the week's theme.
    • 20-30 minutes of a guided meditation, including a silent meditaiton.
    • QnA + discussion
