Welcome to our second meditation society taster session!

This session is essentially an introduction to meditation. It will consist of an interactive talk where we explore what meditation is, clear up misconceptions and discuss a practical way to implement this into our lives. Following this, we will do a guided meditation together.

We are in the McIntyre Building, Room 201 (this building is on the main campus!)

Here are the guidelines for the weekly meditation sessions:

FREE of price!
Doors open at 19:00, it is mandatory that you are seated for prompt start at 19:15. Those who are later than 19:15 will not be able to attend the session!
Bring a cushion/mat to sit on for comfort (optional) → we have many small cushions.
Chairs are avaliable for those unable to sit on the floor.
Advisable to attend on a light stomach (2.5 hours after a large meal or 1 hour after a lighter meal)
The sessions follow the rough schedule of:
20 minutes of an interactive talk about an aspect of meditation following the week's theme.
20-25 minutes of a guided meditation, including a silent meditaiton.
An optional QnA, peer conversation, and games.
