Overview

Looking for a way to enjoy the company of others without the pressure of socialising during exams? Join the Students’ Representative Council for Craft & Connect, a relaxed, sensory-friendly space celebrating different ways of connecting during Disability History Month.

This event is all about parallel play: spending time alongside other people while doing your own thing. You can simply enjoy being in the same space as others, doing something you love, with the freedom to chat when you feel like it.

Bring along your own LEGO set, knitting, crochet, drawing or any personal project you’re working on at home. We’ll also have some craft materials and LEGOs available if you’d like to try something new. With dim lighting, calming lo-fi music and a relaxed atmosphere, you can settle in and connect with others in a way that feels comfortable for you.

Hot drinks and biscuits will be available for attendees with vegan and gluten free options.
