Join us for an immersive Black History Dance Workshop led by acclaimed choreographer and performer Chinyanta (@thechinyanta).
This dynamic session will take you on a journey across the African continent, exploring traditional dances from different regions and revealing how their movements and meanings connect to modern dance styles seen around the world today. There will also be live drumming at the workshop.
All funds raised by this event will be donated to Hwupenyu Health & Wellbeing Project (SC044991), a Glasgow-based charity that provides support for Black ethnic communities in Scotland living with chronic health conditions.
✨ Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, move, and connect through dance with this free student workshop sponsored by the SRC in collaboration with the African Caribbean Society.
