Join us for GUPRAS’ first practical skills session of the year!
In collaboration with @theprecisionseries, this hands-on workshop will take you from the fundamentals of suturing through to more advanced wound-closure techniques and surgical knot tying. Throughout the evening, we’ll work through:
Basic suturing
• Simple interrupted sutures
• Simple continuous/running sutures
• Instrument handling, needle handling and correct tissue handling
Advanced suturing
• Vertical mattress sutures
• Horizontal mattress sutures
• Subcuticular suturing
• Deep dermal/buried sutures & Surgical knot tying
There will be plenty of hands-on practice throughout the evening, with guidance to help you develop your technique and confidence. Whether you’ve never picked up a needle driver before or already have some suturing experience and want to refine your skills, everyone is welcome.
