This half-day, interactive course will support attendees to understand the relevant language and processes involved in the UK asylum system. It will explore the reasons that people flee their countries, the countries that they are coming from, and the rights and entitlements of refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. Attendees will also consider how they can apply a trauma-informed approach in their role. We will design a bespoke case study activity, tailored to explore relevant scenarios to the work of Student Action for Refugees.
