Interested in supporting people seeking asylum in Glasgow? Join Student Action for Refugees (STAR) for our first event of the year. Whether it's volunteering at our weekly English Conversation Club, promoting positive awareness and campaigns on campus or organising legendary fundraisers, your contribution builds the foundations for a society rooted in togetherness and welcome.
This event will include an introduction to asylum processes in the UK, their repercussions and the work we do, followed by an interactive workshop to generate ideas for the year. There will also be a chance to meet like-minded folk whilst writing letters of welcome to those who have recently arrived in Glasgow and are seeking asylum.
