Overview

Unwind this summer with an introduction to West Coast Swing, a fun and versatile partner dance that can be danced spontaneously to almost any genre of music. Check out West Coast Swing’s playlist and society page for more info!

Join the Students’ Representative Council and West Coast Swing Dance Society for a FREE beginner-friendly session designed especially for postgraduate students looking to de-stress, meet new people, and try something new.

No dance experience is needed (everything will be taught from scratch), and you don't need to bring a partner – we'll rotate partners throughout the class if you're comfortable doing so.

The first hour will cover the fundamentals of West Coast Swing in a supportive, no-pressure environment, followed by social dancing where you can practise what you've learned, enjoy the music, and connect with fellow students.

Come as you are, wear comfortable clothes, and join us for an evening of movement, music and stress-free fun! Event is open to all UofG students.

Please take a moment to read West Coast Swing’s social dance info before the class.
