This day marks International Tea Day.
It is also a day to meet yourself.
Wherever you come from,
whatever tea you have known,
if you are willing to pause,
to hold a cup of tea,
to allow the rhythm of tea to resonate with your own—
you will be seen,
you will be received,
you will be gently restored.
For tea has never asked to be understood.
Tea exists so that we may come to understand ourselves.
