Love social dancing? Whether you're into bachata, salsa, or other types of partner based dancing, knowing how to navigate consent is essential for creating a safe, fun, and inclusive environment on the dance floor.
In this interactive workshop, you’ll:
- See it in action: We’ll demo what consent looks like in different dance styles.
- Get hands-on tips: Learn the right moves and hand placements for sensual dances like bachata.
- Dive into real talk: Join group discussions to tackle real-life scenarios and appropriate ways of dancing; integrating discussion of empowered consent on a ‘sensual’ dance scene.
This workshop is aimed at all dancing levels, but can be especially helpful for those new on the dancer scene!
All attendees must follow the GUSRC Events Code of Conduct: https://www.glasgowunisrc.org/policies/events-conduct/.
