Overview

The Kerala Society of the University of Glasgow is pleased to present “Malluween”, a Halloween-themed cultural and community engagement event designed to bring students together for an evening of immersive activities, team challenges, and cultural exchange. Set within the atmospheric surroundings of the Glasgow Necropolis, this event offers a unique opportunity for participants to experience Halloween in a distinctive, organised, and memorable format.

“Malluween” aims to blend traditional Halloween customs with interactive group activities that encourage teamwork, creativity, and cultural appreciation. The programme includes a Graveyard Scavenger Hunt, Sound of Silence Challenge, Spooky Storytelling, Fortune Teller Experience, Cosplay Segment, and an engaging round of Capture the Flag. These activities are curated to ensure that students not only enjoy the festive spirit of Halloween, but also build social connections in a safe and structured environment.

Participants are encouraged to dress in costumes suitable for Halloween celebrations. Prizes and recognitions may be awarded for engagement, creativity, and team performance throughout the event. The event is open to both members and non-members of the Kerala Society, with studentfriendly ticket pricing to ensure inclusivity and accessibility.

The Kerala Society remains committed to fostering cultural diversity, student wellbeing, and community participation through events such as Malluween. We look forward to welcoming attendees to an evening that promises to be exciting, enjoyable, and enriching for all.
