Overview

This Black History Month, QMU and SRC are teaming up for a spooky and soulful evening featuring Ryan Coogler’s Sinners (2025), a haunting blend of blues, identity, and the supernatural.

During the film, we’re turning down the lights and turning up the creativity with a collage-making session.

Set in the 1930s Mississippi, Sinners dives into a world of blues, folklore, and bloodsuckers — where two brothers’ juke joint becomes a battleground for survival and self-expression despite the harsh realities of the Jim Crow South and other otherworldly forces.

Collage materials and snacks for the film night will be provided. Bring your friends, grab a seat, and settle in for a night of celebrating Black artistry and storytelling.

We will also be collecting donations at the event for the Ubuntu Women Shelter in Glasgow (SC048645).
