Overview

You’ve heard of our quiz, now we’re making the day even more interesting! Come hang out with our individual Nerd Collab societies for absolutely no cost! Throughout the day the Nerd Collab societies will be running small taster session style events for you to get to know us, before we all come together for The Big Nerd Pub Quiz!

Nerd Day activities hosted by Nerd Collab and supported by the SRC and QMU. 

Activities in WeeG

  • 1-3pm: Fantasy and Worldbuilding societies: Make 'random rice maps' which includes using rice randomly on a page and drawing around it to make fantasy style maps!
  • 3-5 pm: Furry and Comics societies: Design your own characters and learn from comics best illustrators session! 

Activities in Williams Room

  • 1-3 pm: GUGS and Nintendo societies: Video games (mariokart) on the screen and small board games on the tables!
  • 3-5pm: Minecraft Society: Minigames and design your own pixel art character session!

Tickets 

  • If we reach capacity, a “one in, one out” system will be in place. 


 

Accessibility 

  • This event will take place in the Gilchrist Postgraduate Club on the ground floor of the Gilbert Scott Building: there is a guide to accessing the venue available via AccessAble. 

  • Please let us know if you have any specific access requirements so we can make necessary arrangements – contact events@src.gla.ac.uk ahead of the event with access requirements.
