Overview

Want to make your society events more successful, attract new members, apply for grant funding, and boost engagement? Join our Club Events & Comms Workshop for clubs and societies to get practical tips, share challenges your society is facing, and learn how to improve your events. Free food will be provided by the SRC (dietary needs will be catered for).

This workshop will be run by the Clubs & Societies and Communications Teams at the SRC who want to help you make your events as successful as possible. 

Workshop Schedule

  • Event Planning Best Practices (including finance advice) 4-4:40pm
  • SRC Clubs Grant Funding, Big Idea Grants & Society Collaborations 4:40-5:20pm
  • Dinner Break (Food will be provided by the SRC) 5:20-5:40pm
  • Making the Best Use of Social Media 5:40-6:20pm
  • Society Roundtable with VPSA 6:20-7pm.

If you are unable to attend for the full length of the workshop, we would still encourage you to attend for times you are available. Participation in this session will be added to you skills record

  • This event will take place in Williams Room on the 1st floor of the McIntyre Building: there is a guide to accessing the venue available via AccessAble including lift access guidance.
