Overview

Have you just moved to Scotland, made a morning cup of tea, and wondered why it tasted weak? Fun fact: It's actually because Scottish water has a dulling effect on most tea blends due to containing fewer minerals.

We’re inviting international students — and anyone curious about local tea culture — to join us for an afternoon guided by the Tea Society that includes tasting some regional tea blends and learn about some interesting local teatime traditions. It’s the perfect chance to meet new friends in a relaxed environment who you can share your own tea culture from home with, too.
