Overview

The Welcome Fair is one of the biggest and most exciting events of UofG Welcome Week – and it’s the perfect way to kickstart your student experience!

On Day 2, we’ll open with a dedicated Quiet Hour from 11am to 12pm. This hour will be lower in sensory input – no loud music or amplified performances – creating a calmer sound environment while you explore. The space may still be busy with visitors, but the reduced background noise can make it easier to chat to stallholders and browse at your own pace.

After Quiet Hour ends, the Fair will return to its usual lively format, so you’re welcome to stay on and experience both atmospheres.

As with Day 1, you’ll find a completely different set of stalls on Day 2, including SRC-affiliated clubs and societies, local and national organisations, and student-friendly businesses. Whether you’re looking to join a society, get involved in the community, or just have a wander, you’ll discover something new.
