Overview

The Welcome Fair is one of the biggest and most exciting events of UofG Welcome Week – and it’s the perfect way to kickstart your student experience!

Across two days, the grounds of the iconic Main Building will be transformed into a bustling hub of activity. Starting at the Main Gate, you’ll explore the North Front and Memorial Gate, stroll through Professor’s Square, and make your way into the Cloisters and Hunter Halls. Along the way you’ll meet SRC-affiliated clubs and societies, local and national organisations, and student-friendly businesses.

Day 1 and Day 2 each feature a different line-up of stalls, so it’s worth attending both to discover everything on offer. Whether you’re looking to join a society, get involved in the student community, or just soak up the atmosphere, you’ll find something new each day.

Special feature – Day 2 Quiet Hour (11am-12pm)
On the second day, we’ll open with a dedicated Quiet Hour, designed for those who prefer a calmer, more chilled environment to explore the Fair.

Expect to sign up for new opportunities, watch live performances, try delicious refreshments, and leave with a bag full of freebies.
