The SRC are going to Glasgow's Pride March!

Join us on Saturday 19th July as we go along to Glasgow's Pride March. We'll be going along as a group from the whole University of Glasgow, so all students and staff are welcome to come along and celebrate our LGBTQ+ community!

Meeting Point:

We're happy to share the details of how to join the University of Glasgow group attending march:

  • For those who want to come along early in the day, the University of Glasgow group will be meeting at 10:30am at the Memorial Gate on University Avenue.
  • At approx. 10:45am, we will leave the Memorial Gate and go down University Avenue, then Kelvin Way, to join our march start point at the Royal Terrace Entrance to Kelvingrove Park for 11:00am.
  • From here, SRC marshals and the event organisers will guide you on the route. The final destination is Barrowland Park.

The full route for Glasgow's Pride march will be available soon. We are awaiting final information from the event organisers and we'll share info here as soon as possible!

 

Safety Precautions:

  • Dress for warm weather and wear appropriate footwear. Bring waterproofs if necessary.
  • SRC marshals will be wearing hi-vis vests.
  • Travel with others if possible and be aware of your surroundings before and after the march.

 

Photography Notice:

  • Photographers from SRC and the University of Glasgow will be present. They will do their best to avoid taking identifiable photos without consent. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform the photographers.
  • If you are taking photos for social media, please avoid including identifiable faces without consent. Tag the SRC in your posts!
