We’re a medics' mountaineering club that run hikes, weekend trips to the highlands, wilderness medicine teaching, mountain rescue events, careers talks and more!

Fancy spending your weekends getting out into the beautiful Scottish hills? Fancy learning how to apply medicine to the outdoors? Fancy joining us on one of our weekend trips away to somewhere new in the Highlands? Fancy getting further from Glasgow than Loch Lomond...? Fancy seeing what Mountain Rescue get up to? Fancy joining us for a social or two?

Then GUMMS is for you! We are a society that love everything outdoors. We run hiking day trips, weekend trips, wilderness medicine teaching, mountain rescue events, social nights, fascinating talks and a lot more.

Everyone with a love for the outdoors is welcome - not just medics. We've got a jam-packed calendar this year and cannot wait to have you along! 

Membership is £5 for the year. It's a bit of a bargain considering you'll get a Cotswold Outdoors discount and access to all of our amazing events.
