Welcome to the UofG Angling Society!
Who are we?
We are a society all about fishing! We welcome people of all backgrounds, whether you've been fishing for years or have never picked up a rod before. Even if you're not all that interested in catching fish, but you like the sound of walking along the river or hiking up to the reservoir with a group of friends, come along and join us!
What do we do?
We organise a bunch of fishing related activities, such as:
- Fishing trips (long walks often, but not always, included)
- Informal fishing lessons
- Fly tying
- Litter picks
We also like to get together to do pub quizzes (fishing themed, of course!), sub crawls, and much more.
Where do we meet?
At the moment, we don't do regular society meetings, so if we're planning a meet-up for fishing trips or otherwise, it will be announced on our Instagram and Facebook pages. All the information about when/where/what we're doing should be included on the post, but if you're unsure of anything, please reach out to us and ask. We don't bite (but hopefully the fish do)! We're still in the process of setting up mailing lists, but if you would be interested in recieving regular emails about our upcoming events, let us know via email or Instagram DM!

We post about meet-ups and events to our Instagram and Facebook pages, so be sure to check regularly or turn notifications on so you don't miss an update! We are currently in the process of setting up a mailing list, so if you would prefer to recieve email updates on our future events, let us know and we'll add you once we've got it all set up.
