About

Glasgow Stand-up and Sketch, also known as GLASS, is one of Glasgow University’s performing arts societies.

We host our own workshops where members are encouraged to watch, perform, and write comedy. The workshops help members improve stage techniques, write sketches, and test out new material before performing on stage. GLASS also hosts comedy shows on a regular basis, performances are encouraged, but not required. We have done collaborations with other performing arts societies in the past, so it’s a great opportunity to meet others. The society also attends local comedy venues to watch Glasgow comedians doing what they do best, to enjoy the shows and learn some new techniques. Whether you enjoy watching comedy, meeting new people, or trying out performing stand-up or sketches for yourself, GLASS may be the society for you.
