About

Promoting opportunities for those interested in archaeology to meet likeminded individuals.

The Archaeology Society at the University of Glasgow is a place for fun and interesting experiences, for a great group of friends, for a good laugh and a drink! As well as the usual society drinking socials which include Sub Crawls, Staff vs Student Pub Quizzes, Wine & Cheese Nights, Potluck dinners and thematic and seasonal parties we offer a wide range of unique opportunities both within the university and in the local area. Our annual field trips provide an opportunity to have experiences with archaeological material within their cultural and physical landscapes. Also, our society is a good way to find out about fieldwork opportunities.

Our aims:

– Promoting opportunities for those interested in archaeology to meet likeminded individuals.

– Offering those interested in archaeology, though not necessarily studying it, an opportunity to become involved and meet likeminded individuals.
