The goal of this society is to create a space within the postgraduate taught and research geographical and earth sciences courses to allow students to foster a strong sense of community, friendship and collaboration. Anyone with a desire to learn more about geography, human or physical, GIS, cartography, climate models, river systems, environmental sciences, sustainability and more will find something of interest to them within our Society.
We will also provide opportunities for students to participate in or attend academic lectures, reading groups, discussions, workshops and debates, to serve as a resource for postgraduate students to meet like-minded peers, and to provide information about and access to volunteer, PhD and research opportunities as well as internships and careers in the field of geography and earth sciences. This society can also act as a path for undergraduate students to move into postgraduate learning.
